Lindsay Kemp, avant garden artist and dancer has died in Italy. David Bowie met him aged 19 when he attended Kemp’s classes in Covent Garden. He went on to choreograph and perform with David during his rise to acclaim and they stayed friends. He also worked with Kate Bush amongst others and appeared in the culy classic film the Wicker Man.
He died in Livorno, Tuscany on Saturday morning.
